Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 540 ml can chickpeas rinsed and drained
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons tahini
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • juice of one lemon
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • roasted chickpeas, chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Add the chickpeas, garlic, tahini, turmeric, cumin, salt, and lemon juice to the food processor.
  • Blend on high speed and drizzle the olive oil in while the food processor is on, and continue blending until the hummus is smooth and creamy.
  • Scrape it into a serving bowl or container and top with some roasted chickpeas (optional), a drizzle of olive oil, or some fresh chopped parsley.
  • Serve with pita chips or veggies for dipping.
