To a medium-sized pot over medium heat add the milk, maple syrup and cocoa powder.
Whisk well to combine and continue to stir until the mixture comes to a simmer.
Reduce the heat to low and continue to simmer for 5 minutes.
Pour into mugs and serve with your favourite vegan marshmallows or vegan whipped cream.
Notes
This recipe can be made ahead, stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 48 hours, and re-heated in the slow cooker or in a pot on the stove as directed.
