Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a large cast iron skillet with butter.
Place the croissant pieces into the skillet and arrange them so the top is level.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, butter, vanilla and cinnamon until well combined.
Pour the liquid over the croissant pieces in the skillet and toss just a little bit if necessary, to make sure all the croissant pieces are moistened.
Bake for 60-75 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, covering with aluminum foil after 25-30 minutes to prevent the top from browning too much.
Remove it from the oven when cooked through (about 60-75 minutes) and let stand at room temperature for about 20 minutes before serving.
Serve with fresh berries, maple syrup and/or whipped cream if desired.
