Vanilla Bean Angel Food Cake Trifles with Fresh Berries

These Vanilla Bean Angel Food Cake Trifles with Fresh Berries are the perfect easy dessert for summer!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 leftover Angel Food Cake (use my No Fail Angel Food Cake recipe!)
  • 1 recipe Vanilla Bean Pastry Cream (link in the instructions below)
  • 5-6 cups fresh blueberries, strawberries (sliced), raspberries and/or blackberries
  • 2 cups whipped cream or your favourite whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Cut the 1/2 Angel Food Cake into one-inch squares. 

  2. Spoon some Vanilla Bean Pastry Cream into the bottom of 6 stemless wine glasses or mini-trifle glasses. 

  3. Layer the Angel Food Cake squares, fresh berries and  pastry cream, repeating until the layers reach the top of the glass.

  4. Top with a dollop of whipped cream or whipped topping and a fresh berry for garnish.

  5. Serve immediately.

Recipe Notes

Assemble the trifles just before serving as the Angel Food Cake squares can become soggy.
