There’s almost nothing better than a good burger in the summertime. Grilling homemade burgers is one of our family’s favourite things to do on a weekend summer evening. Burgers are so versatile, making them perfect for summer entertaining – everyone can add whatever fixings they enjoy. Our favourite Burger Sauce recipe is SO delicious and everyone who tries it loves it as much as we do! It’s a recipe we make again and again and serve every time burgers are on the menu!!

4. It can be made AHEAD. When it comes to summer entertaining, there’s nothing like getting everything prepped in advance so you can enjoy the barbecue, too. This burger sauce tastes even better if it sits in the fridge for awhile before serving!

This recipe has been tested again and again and it’s just not the same without the garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika! Don’t forget to add the spices to give this sauce its unique smoky flavour… it takes your burgers to the next level!

The finely chopped pickles add acidity and give the sauce a zesty flavour. Feel free to use dill pickles or sweet pickles, and add a splash of the pickle juice if you’re looking for even more of a tangy flavour. They also add texture to the sauce, so be sure to chop them finely.

Mix all the ingredients together and let it rest in the fridge before serving to allow all the flavours to meld together. The flavours intensify when it’s refrigerated, making it even more delicious!

• 3/4 cup mayonnaise We prefer Hellmans Mayonnaise
• 2 tablespoons mustard We prefer French’s Mustard
• 4 tablespoons ketchup We prefer Heinz Ketchup
• 1/3 cup diced sweet pickles
• 1 teaspoon Sriracha or your favourite hot sauce, use more or less to adjust the heat
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
• 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1. As a Spread: This burger sauce brings your burgers to the next level! It also adds great flavour to sandwiches, wraps, and breakfast burritos.
2. As a Dip: This sauce is delicious for dipping with potato wedges and fries. Chicken nuggets and onion rings would also be great for dipping in this sauce.
3. As a Dressing: Thin out the sauce with some vinegar, pickle juice, or lemon juice to drizzle over burger bowls or wedge salads for a low carb meal.
4. As a Topping: Use a few spoonfuls of this hamburger sauce over crispy potatoes or drizzle over tacos.
