You guys would not believe the drama of the last week of my life. And no, I’m not talking about politics, which might surprise you. Granted, the politically-charged events of the last few weeks have been a little shocking, but on top of all of that I ended up at the emergency room with a fractured shoulder which has impacted my life far more than I ever expected.
It started out as a fun, relaxing day with my husband to celebrate his birthday. If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw my Instagram story the day we went skiing (I ski, he snowboards). We were having a grand old time until I took a bad tumble and ended up fracturing my shoulder. I guess that’s what I get for pretending I’m young and childless for a day (I’m neither young nor childless, in case you were wondering).
So now I’m sitting here typing this blog post for you with one hand, which is much harder and far less enjoyable than it sounds. But one thing I AM enjoying is the painkillers. They’re making life bearable and sleep a remote possibility so even though they have me feeling just a little bit groggy all the time, I’m taking them anyway. So between the prescription drugs and the one-hand typing there may be a few spelling or grammatical errors in this post – please go easy on me. Also, the idea of my husband having to do my hair for me for the next month has me feeling a just a little bit sensitive, which I’m sure you can understand (my husband is good at a lot of things but hair styling is certainly not one of them!).

We had so much fun making these and they make great little gifts for the kids to give to their friends on Valentine’s Day. And instead of store-bought treats, or even homemade Valentine’s treats that are only made by mom or dad, these ones are perfect for young kids to make themselves…with an adult’s help of course. Just package them up in cute little cellophane bags to give away, or serve them at a Valentine’s Day party!

These Easy DIY Valentine’s Day Pretzel Treats are so pretty. I want to make some now, but don’t “do” grams. What is the equivalent of said ingredients? Thank you!
100 grams is approximately 3.5 ounces 🙂
