Easy One Pan Honey Garlic Shrimp
This Easy One Pan Honey Garlic Shrimp is a delicious Asian-inspired meal idea with the perfect honey garlic sauce. And it's made with simple ingredients in 15 minutes or less!
Recipe: Ingredients
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, pressed or finely minced
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespooons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 - 3 1/2 cups fresh or frozen shrimp, thawed completely and rinsed (use shrimp with shells and tails on, or shrimp with the shells and tails removed)
- toasted sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Recipe: Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, water and cornstarch. Set aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
- Add the shrimp to the pan and toss in the olive oil, allowing the shrimp to cook on each side for 3 minutes, or until all sides of the shrimp are pink. Shrimp without tails and shells will cook more quickly than shrimp with the tails and shells on.
- Add the honey garlic sauce sauce mixture and toss the shrimp in the sauce until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky.
- Serve the shrimp over rice with a side of steamed veggies and a sprinkling of toasted sesame seeds, if desired.

Approximately how many pounds equals 3 to 3 1/2 cups of shrimp
That would be approximately one pound of shrimp. Happy cooking!
Good lord that was disgusting. Sounds good in theory. And appealing cause it’s easy to make. It was basically bland shrimp drenched in honey. Sorry, this did not work.
I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy it. With this being a basic recipe, high quality ingredients are essential for maximum flavour.
Super easy and tasty but I cut the honey in half. My kids love shrimp but don’t like spicy. I added some sriracha sauce to kick the heat up on my serving.
Great!! Thanks so much for your feedback Liz!🙂
Flavors were good but there was no thickness/stickiness to the sauce
Are you using real honey? Did you allow the starch to cook?
