These Air Fryer Green Beans are the perfect easy-to-make side dish that’s super flavourful. They’re ready in under 10 minutes – they’re simple enough for an easy weeknight meal and delicious enough for a holiday dinner. Trust us, you’re going to LOVE them!
That’s right! You don’t even have to use fresh beans for this recipe. Frozen green beans work well too, just make sure they’re whole and not cut.
To cook frozen green beans in the air fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
- Don’t thaw your frozen green beans at all. If there’s excess ice buildup, rinse them under water and dry them with paper towels.
- Add the green beans to a bowl and mix with the oil, garlic and lemon juice.
- Place in the air fryer basket/tray and air fry at 400 F (200 C) for 5 minutes.
- Remove and shake well. Air fry again for another 4-6 minutes.

Follow these steps for the perfect beans in the air fryer!
- Preheat your air fryer.
Add the water to the air fryer and preheat to 200 degrees Celsius (390 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Prepare the beans.
Wash and prepare the green beans by removing any stems or flowers.
- Add the flavour.
Add the green beans to a bowl along with the oil, garlic, salt and pepper, and the juice of one lemon. Toss very well to coat.
- Air fry.
Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius (390 degrees Fahrenheit), shaking the basket halfway through.
- Add the lemon zest for more flavour.
