I don’t know about you, but I’m all about simplicity when it comes to side dishes – especially for holiday meals when you’re preparing multiple dishes at once! These Roasted Green Beans with Cherry Tomatoes are one of our family’s favourite healthy side dishes of all time and they couldn’t be easier to throw together on a busy day!
If you’ve been a reader of The Busy Baker for a while now you’ll know that I love to let fresh, flavourful ingredients speak for themselves, and this green bean side dish is packed with delicious veggies and tons of flavour with only a few additional ingredients like fresh garlic and a squeeze of lemon juice. When it comes to holiday meals, simple recipes are where it’s at! One of the best things about this recipe, in my opinion, is that you can use green beans fresh from the produce section or frozen french-style green beans (don’t use frozen cut green beans for this recipe). Because we live in an area of the world where we get produce that’s mainly in-season I can’t always get fresh beans when I want them. If you’re making this recipe with fresh green beans, you might need to add a few minutes to the cooking time. If you’re making it with frozen green beans, simply thaw slightly at room temperature for a couple of minutes and follow the recipe as directed!

Sounds delicious! I was going to bring this side dish for our thanksgiving dinner but my niece only eats gluten free food. Is this a gluten free recipe?
It sure is! ☺️
I cannot wait to make this for Thanksgiving! What a taste treat for all of us! I’ve always, in the past, stirred in a can of diced tomatoes, but this sounds so much better. Thanks for the inspiration!
