- Choose high quality chocolate. Semi-sweet chocolate is best for this recipe, and choose the highest quality chocolate you can find.
- Use whole milk and heavy cream. Whole milk and heavy cream makes this hot chocolate super creamy and rich!
- Add sweetened condensed milk. Sweetened condensed milk gives this hot chocolate the best sweet flavour.

Hot Chocolate with Baileys

- 4 cups whole milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 ounce can)
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chopped
- a pinch of salt
- 6 shots Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur
Recipe: Instructions
- Add the milk, heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk and chopped chocolate to a pot on the stove over medium-low heat.
- Stir regularly as the mixture heats up and the chocolate melts.
- Add a pinch of salt, if desired (to taste).
- Pour into 4 mugs and stir a shot of Baileys Irish Cream liqueur into each mug.
- Top with whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa powder, if desired.
