To make this easy Maple Dijon Roasted Chicken, you’ll need:

chicken drumsticks and/or chicken thighs with the bone in and skin on.

real maple syrup

dijon mustard
-
garlic
-
brown sugar
-
salt and pepper

a good roasting pan (with a rack, optional)

Maple Dijon Roasted Chicken
Ingredients
- 14-15 chicken drumsticks or small chicken thighs bone-in and skin-on
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced or pressed
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper on both sides. Place in a roasting pan on a rack (if you have one).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mustard, garlic, maple syrup and brown sugar. Drizzle about half this mixture over the seasoned chicken pieces and reserve half for later.
- Roast the chicken for about 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- After 40-45 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven and brush on the remaining mustard mixture.
- Roast for an additional 5 minutes, then remove from the oven and rest for 5 minutes.
- Serve alongside your favourite easy side dishes or a salad.
