Want to make the BEST creamy peanut sauce? Here’s how to make it!
Avoid peanut butters with added sugars and hydrogenated oils. A natural peanut butter will give your sauce a balanced flavour and a smooth texture, with more nuttiness than a conventional peanut butter.
Add the coconut milk until you reach your desired consistency. Make your sauce lighter if you want to use it as a drizzle or dressing or keep it thicker if you plan to serve it as a dipping sauce.
Don’t skip the chili flakes as they add depth of flavour and a little bit of a spicy kick.
Use a whisk or even an immersion blender to emulsify your sauce very well for a creamy, velvety texture.

Running into trouble with your homemade peanut sauce? Here’s a list of a few issues you might encounter and how to fix and prevent them:
Gradually add some warm water until you reach the desired consistency. Alternatively you can use coconut milk. Use an immersion blender to help the sauce emulsify.
Add an extra splash of soy sauce and some more ginger and garlic. If you’re using unsalted peanut butter, you might have to add a little more salt.
Add some extra rice vinegar and brown sugar. Make sure your peanut butter isn’t too salty. If that’s the case, try using low sodium soy sauce or unsalted peanut butter.
For a smoother texture use an immersion blender or a food processor to blend and emulsify the sauce. This will make it extra creamy.
