Estimated reading time: 7 minutes
This Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade is one of our favourite things about warm weather. It’s just such a refreshing drink and we can’t get enough of it!
Here are a few reasons why we love this Starbucks Passion Tea!
- It’s EASY to MAKE: With only a few ingredients, this drink will be ready to enjoy in no time!
- It’s INEXPENSIVE: Making this drink at home is much cheaper than buying it in your local coffee shop!
- It’s HEALTHY: This lemonade is made with fresh lemons and with no refined sugar, making this a healthy choice.
- It’s made with NO REFINED SUGAR: Honey is a liquid sweetener so it dissolves easily in liquid and it adds a lot more flavour than sugar does. Because honey tastes sweeter than sugar, you’ll probably find yourself adding less honey than you would sugar to your lemonade, making each glass lower in calories.
Follow these tips to take your Passion Tea Lemonade to the next level!
Make sure to steep the tea for the recommended time to get the flavour of rose hips and hibiscus.
Allow the tea to cool completely before mixing with the lemon juice mixture and ice. This prevents the drink from becoming diluted too quickly and ensures a refreshing, cold beverage.
Start with less sweetener and adjust to taste. Often very little is needed to reach the desired taste.
Decorate the edge of the glasses with lemon slices or add in some mint leaves for a vibrant visual appeal.
Here are some common issues you might encounter when making this recipe and how to fix and prevent them.
Tea bags need to be immersed in hot water in order to steep the tea properly. Be sure to steep the tea until it’s dark in colour so it’s full of flavour.
Over-steeping the tea can lead to the tea tasting bitter. Make sure to steep the tea according to the package recommendations for the most flavourful tea.
Use fresh, ripe lemons for this lemonade. The final taste can be impacted and taste bitter if the lemons are not fresh or ripe.
Adding too much ice can water down the lemonade. Make sure to follow the recipe.
