It’s no secret that in our household we love a good seafood recipe. My husband grew up on the west coast of Canada and on a steady diet of fresh salmon! Our family loves salmon and it’s one of our favourite healthy protein sources. This Easy Glazed Miso Salmon recipe is SO delicious and easy to make – it’s perfect for busy weeknights and it tastes like you ordered it in a fancy restaurant! Trust me, you’re going to LOVE it!
How to Make Miso Salmon
I have two favourite ways to cook salmon – the first way is in my tried and true Cast Iron Pan because it gives the salmon the perfect golden brown caramelization on the outside and it holds the heat evenly, cooking the salmon filets evenly on the inside.
My other favourite way is to bake the salmon filets to perfection, like in this Miso Salmon recipe! Simply place the salmon on a greased baking sheet, brush with the miso glaze, and bake until the salmon filets flake with a fork or reach an internal temperature of 62 degrees Celsius (145 Fahrenheit)!
How to make glaze for miso salmon
The simple miso sauce I use when preparing this Easy Glazed Miso Salmon is so delicious. To make it you’ll need:
- miso paste
- soy sauce
- sesame oil
- maple syrup
Simply whisk all the glaze ingredients together and brush the glaze onto the salmon before baking! It’s that simple!!
How Long to Bake Salmon
Typically, salmon bakes best at about 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about 10 to 11 minutes. Be sure to test the internal temperature of the salmon at about the 10 minute-mark. If it reaches an internal temperature of 62 degrees Celsius (145 Fahrenheit), it’s done!
How Long to Store Salmon in the Fridge
Once baked, store your salmon filets in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Be sure to reheat properly before enjoying!
What to Serve with Miso Salmon
We love to enjoy this miso salmon recipe alongside our favourite Lemon Garlic Roasted Asparagus, Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Coconut Lime Rice, or simply alongside some steamed rice and a side salad.

Oh I can’t wait to try this. I’m going to break out the air fryer for this recipe and see if I can do it in there. If not. The oven will work amazing as well
I haven’t tried it in the air fryer, so let us know how it goes!!
Adding this glaze to my list of salmon recipes to try! I love the simple ingredient list. I’m a fan of baking salmon since it involves less smoke than pan searing.
Exactly!🙂 Thanks for your comment!!
