How to make a Matcha Green Tea Frappuccino:
This Healthy Matcha Green Tea Frappuccino is the perfect summer version of my favourite homemade Matcha Latte, and it’s a healthy copycat version of Starbucks’ Green Tea Frappuccino. It’s SO easy to make at home, especially if you have a good-quality, high-powered blender like this one from Blendtec (affiliate link). Simply throw in all the ingredients at once, and pulse on high speed until creamy and smooth. Pour it into your favourite glass or travel tumbler and enjoy it with a straw. It’s truly that easy!Looking for more healthy drink recipes? Try my DELICIOUS Strawberry Banana Orange Power Smoothie or this Blueberry Kale Power Smoothie!
To make a homemade Matcha Frappuccino you will need:
- Good-quality or organic Matcha Green Tea Powder (affiliate link)
- Milk or your favourite dairy-free milk alternative
- Ice
- Honey, or your favourite vegan liquid sweetener (maple syrup or agave nectar work great!)
- Vanilla extract

Delicious !! Hit the spot for my craving—I think next time I would like a bit more matcha though. Used slightly less agave. Will make again 🙂

I made this recipe twice: once with dairy milk and once with coconut milk (as recommended for the dairy-free option). Using dairy milk, this drink was excellent, and I will definitely make it again! I loved the addition of vanilla extract in the recipe. One tablespoon of matcha was a bit too much for me (I like 2 teaspoons better), but that’s just personal preference. Overall, this version of the drink was delicious!
As for the coconut milk version, I would not recommend it. The taste was just as good as using dairy milk, but the consistency was terrible!! I think coconut milk just freezes differently than dairy milk because the dairy milk version of this drink blended very smoothly and came out having a fairly uniform texture. The coconut milk version, on the other hand, separated into a liquid portion and an icy portion with the consistency of wet snow that compacts very easily. Because of this separation, it was extremely difficult to blend, as the icy part would just stay on top of the liquid away from the blade. It was also not enjoyable to drink because you slurp down the liquid pretty quickly and are left with an icy mass in your cup. I haven’t tried other alternative milks, so maybe others will fair better. For now, I recommend the dairy version of this recipe. It’s really good!

I don’t usually comment but this recipe is too good not to! I used almond milk and it was perfect, I also used a bit more ice and I would definitely recommend
